Fairview Avenue – San Pedro Creek Sewer Line Replacement and Relocation
Update: April 2010
Project Description:The project will include abandoning the 24 inch diameter sewer line that runs along Fairview Avenue parallel to San Pedro Creek from Hollister Avenue to Fowler Road. This sewer line is a main trunk line carrying wastewater from the Goleta Valley to the treatment plant. It needs to be replaced because the bank along the San Pedro Creek is eroding and continued erosion could cause the failure of the sewer line and the discharge of raw wastewater into the creek. The wastewater will be diverted to a new 36 inch diameter pipe that will replace a smaller pipe that runs along the east side of Fairview Avenue.
Status: Design completed
Permits: Completed
Construction Schedule: Bid packages include contract documents and specifications have been prepared and are available from the District. Bid close on April 26, 2010 at 2 p.m.
